Van der Windt is aiming that our environment policy will go further which is why our ambition is for our CO2 emissions in 2015 to be 15% less than they were in 2009. We can only do this by making changes across a wide range of fronts and introducing sustainable raw materials is one of the foundation principles. We are a leading packaging supplier of bio-based packaging and we are constantly on the look-out for ways to reduce the quantity of material used for packaging. Developing a multi-use cask is one of the many options. Van der Windt continuously invests in new techniques and technologies that save energy without a loss in quality. Our operating processes are monitored to be less of an environmental burden than is absolutely necessary. We use ‘green’ electricity as another way to show have put sustainability into practice and we have invested in energy efficient lighting that is far less damaging to the environment compared to conventional lighting. |
